HUNTER RENTALS & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
NOLANVILLE – In a
recent Businessweek.com article, the city of Nolanville ranked number 29 out of
the top 50 places for parents to raise their children if they are looking to
keep their budget at a relatively low cost. The five categories used in the
survey were number of schools, test scores from those schools, cost of living,
recreational and cultural activities offered, and crime rate.
KILLEEN – Killeen is
currently the 5th most dangerous city in Texas based upon the FBI’s
Uniform Crime Report, an annual collection of statistics reported by each city
for eight different crime categories. The categories are murder, rape, robbery,
aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft and arson. Killeen
also has the highest burglary rate among Texas cities with a population of more
than 100,000.
NOVEMBER TRAFFIC – We
leased fifty properties last month, thirty-seven of which were single-family
homes and thirteen were multi-family properties. Although we had sixty-five
properties vacate last month (nearly half due to military related moves), we
ended the month of November with an overall occupancy rate of 96%.
We were also successful in renewing the leases of forty of our existing
renters. With many soldiers returning from Iraq this month, I anticipate that
our activity levels will not taper off until right before Christmas.
ADMIN FEE – Please
note that there will be an annual admin fee charged to your account next month
for each unit managed. This fee helps cover our increased administrative costs
in January for 1099 tax forms, purchasing software to print the 1099s, extra
paperwork, postage, and handling associated with the year-end accounting. The
fee is $30.00 for the first unit managed, and $5.00 for each additional unit.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS – May each and every one of you have a safe and happy holiday season. Our office is deeply appreciative of the many letters, E-mails, and referrals we’ve received from you throughout this year. You have our renewed commitment in providing you with the best property management service into the new-year ahead. As always, we are thankful for your loyal business and faith in our organization. Take care and have a wonderful holiday season!

the bleak midwinter frosty wind made moan, Earth stood hard
as
iron, water like a stone, snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on
snow,
in the bleak midwinter, long ago.”
