Grass Cutting Season - 5/31/2021

May 31, 2021
With warmer temperatures setting in and abundant recent rainfall, grass has been growing at a fast pace. We have more rain in the forecast for the next week. The code enforcement departments of area cities have been actively patrolling neighborhoods and issuing many citations for tall grass. Maintaining one’s yard is not always on top of a renter’s list of priorities and inspecting yards and issuing citations becomes a full-time job for us during the growing season. If you receive a letter from the city with a citation for tall grass, please e-mail or call us right away so we can take corrective action. The city customarily mails citations to the property owner’s address that is recorded by the county, so we do not know when a property has been cited unless a property owner notifies us. There is no need to worry if you receive one of these letters. Once notified, our property management services will ensure that the deficiency is corrected by the city’s deadline.
