Temple, Texas, was ranked among the top ten tech cities in the U.S. in a SmartAsset study released in 2019. This ranking was based on:
- Employees in tech
- Average tech salary
- Unemployment rate
- Cost of living
- Ratio of the average tech salary to the average salary across all fields
This week, it was announced that Temple, Texas, will be the future location of Meta Platforms Inc.’s $800 million data center, of which there are less than twenty in the world. Construction of the 900,000 square foot facility is expected to begin later this month and will be located on 400 acres in the city’s industrial park. This is exciting news for Temple and the Central Texas Area.
